But then, they also do not commit on delivery dates and it might be so that your car does not reach the destination even in 4 to 5 weeks time.
If you have a limited budget and you go for a cheap car shipping company, you must ensure that they show you their federal license as well as disclose the insurance requirements. There are a lot of cheap car shipping companies who are not licensed, bonded or even insured though their shipping charges are extremely low. But this kind of carriers does not guarantee any coverage for theft or damage during transit.
During your research for less expensive car shipping companies, make sure that you ask as many questions as possible before you finalize or commit any deal. The total cost should be one figure and there should not be any hidden cost in the deal like fuel surcharge, extra road insurance or any taxes etc. You on your part must seek quotes from at least 3 to 4 car shipping companies and provide them with the most accurate information to be able to obtain the most realistic quotes. This information includes pick up and delivery addresses, pick up dates, size and type of car that is to be shipped, type of car shipping services you require like door to door or terminal to terminal pick up and delivery etc. In this regard terminal pick and delivery would always work out cheaper. Some car shipping companies could even reimburse you in cash, for the number of days you have had to rend a car in case they have not been able to deliver the car at the destination on the promised date.
